With funding and support from the Million Girls Moonshot and StemNext, Florida After School will use this PLC to launch its “STEM for ALL” campaign by facilitating monthly, virtual gatherings allowing programs from primarily rural and underserved neighborhoods to learn from one another, share best practices and access free training, technical assistance and resources. In addition, each program will receive a small stipend to test specific curricula and evaluation tools with at least 25 students each (grades 3-8). This project is part of a national movement working to inspire and prepare the next generation of innovators by engaging one million girls in STEM learning opportunities through afterschool and summer programs.
Congratulations to the agencies selected. We cannot wait to see these STEM programs expand and thrive!
